Located just outside of Paris, the HEC Paris is a leading business school in Europe. The school, also known as Ecole Des Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Paris, is affiliated with Paris Tech. The Financial Time has ranked HEC Paris as the top business school on the continent for seven of the eight years between 2006 and 2013. Students who are enrolled at HEC Paris may work toward an MBA, an EMBA, a Grande Ecole degree or other specialized MSC or PhD programs. There are also executive level programs available. Double degree options are available with specializations in management studies, business administration, law and diplomacy, public policy and others. The school was founded in 1881, making it among the oldest business schools in Europe. The admissions process is highly competitive, and there is an admission rate of four percent. Currently, there are approximately 4,000 students enrolled and approximately 115 staff members.
HEC is ranked 3rd worldwide (behind Harvard and Stanford) for the number of alumni holding a CEO position in Fortune 500 Global companies. In 2017, the QS World University Rankings ranked HEC 12th worldwide for Business & Management Studies.
